Good news! I’ve made a top five list to help everyone out. You’re welcome. Now you too will learn how to be a yummy mummy 🙂
A couple years ago the Daily Mail reported Victoria Beckham was number one yummy mummy.
Apparently she won the title shortly after she ditched her WAG look.
After painstaking research it turns out these mothers aren’t just naturally yummy.
Good news! I’ve made a top five list to help everyone out. Now you, too, can be a yummy mummy. You’re welcome.
How to be a Yummy Mummy
- Make your own personalized jewelry. Whether for you or your children it’s both trendy and sophisticated! And remember, you can always order personalized jewelry online if you’re having trouble making it yourself.
- Don’t be negative in your love relationship. Be appreciative instead by:
- Catching your partner doing things you like
- Recognizing and celebrating what you like
- Asking for what you want
- Spending quality time together
- Appreciating yourself (pat yourself on the back and do nice things for yourself, so you’re not solely dependent upon your partner’s affection)
- Make sure you polish your cutlery regularly. Or at least for holidays. Here’s how:
- Cover the bottom of a glass pan with foil
- Mix together equal parts of baking soda and salt
- Boil water and fill 2/3rds of pan
- Add silver pieces, making sure they all touch the foil, and let stand for about 38 minutes
(My favourite instruction: “Let stand for about 38 minutes.”)
- Network, network, network!. By following these rules (oh yeah, and joining a networking group):
- Take a pocket full of business cards everywhere (you never know who you’re going to meet)
- Take notes when someone is speaking
- Talk to at least five new people at meetings
- Don’t forget to email your new contacts when you get home, but don’t send too many forwards or you’ll alientate them
- Be selfish about “friend,” time. By following these rules:
- Go out at least once a week for coffee/movie/shopping with friends
- Join a community class to learn a new hobby
- Volunteer at a charity
- Call/email friends several times a week
Final thoughts
But I don’t think every yummy mummy does this extent of research (that would be a silly assumption). I think most just eat Yummy Mummy cereal for breakfast every day. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any information on becoming a yummy nanny. I don’t know why not, I think the assonance is there.
